Where We Come From

THE BEGINNING: 1992

CASTECH was founded in 1992 to answer the market's need for Automated and Computerised Sign-Making Solutions. We started from selling a simple Graphtec cutting plotter from the back of a Nissan Sunny, conducting demos at our client’s doorstep. This culture of personal client service and getting our hands dirty has been entrenched in the company’s DNA.

THE GROWTH: 1997

Subsequently in 1997, CASTECH expanded into the large-format printing industry, evolving to keep up with the latest solutions in digital print and signage. We brought in one of the first dye-based large format printers in Singapore, and took part in various exhibitions, both local and overseas, to share our expertise with an increasing number of interested parties.

THE BATTLE FOR SURVIVAL: 1998

In 1998, the Asian Economic Crisis hit hard. As a small, burgeoning company, CASTECH was buffeted around by the stormy winds of the recession. We were forced to reinvent ourselves quickly, innovate to survive. The recession pushed us to look for new areas of growth, where we explored further into large-format printing and CNC routers.

 

THE LEAP FORWARD: 2003

We moved to our current premises in 2003, expanding our office space to accommodate our ever-growing range of solutions. As the demand for large format printing grew voraciously, CASTECH had to grow to keep up with it, or risk being swept under by competitors.

 

THE FUTURE: FROM 2018

As the large format printing and signage industry matures, the dust settles around the frontrunners. CASTECH Vhas supported and enabled our clients to succeed through the use of our machines and will continue to do so for as long as we possibly can. Brands such as Epson, Graphtec and MultiCam have worked with us for more than a decade and our partnerships with these brands continue to go strengthen with each passing year.
